graet is great in German, but that is interesting. You would think if the part is made in the UK, they would put the label on and spell it in English.

nice write up Frank!!!

I pulled my trumpet horns out of my car a couple weeks ago and was flattened when I saw "made in France" on them.....no wonder they stopped working when the weather got nice

I end up doing seat-ectomies on every car or motorcycle that I buy anymore.
I think they go for the 90th percentile with seat design lately. If one is much over 6'2" and 275lbs seats are not made to hold you. I have had the opportunity to rebuild a 2001 Nissan Altima, 2004 Mercedes ML350, the Porsche and next our new Subaru Outback.

The Porsche and Mercedes seats have been some of the easiest to disassemble. Fasteners are mostly clips and slides no hog rings.

I was surprised at how inexpensive the non-heated foams were. Not sure how much more the heated ones are.

so got the seat back this morning. extra foam feels good, though i still need a longer ride to confirm. $130 out the door so i did not feel too bad about price. probably should have tried the diy above for far less cost/aggrivation, but it is over now. waiting for durametric to reset airbag light. love my pcar.

Very carefully??
If you can't figure a way to get to the 4 mounting bolts not sure. I loosen the rear first then slide it back to access the front ones. That way the track is tucked under the seat, instead of sticking out the rear making the assy longer (AND SHARPER)
