Anyone know what brand CAI system this is (found on a '00 C2 996)?

That's the first version of the EVOMS cold air intake.
I have the same one on mine.

Where does it get the "cold" air from?

this intake retains the snorkel system like the factory airbox. The cold air comes up under the cone filter.
