I ended up ordering the gold emblem. I spoke to suncoast and they said many people buy the black emblem even though there is no mounting posts. It is the same size as the factory crest. He also mentioned that you could use doubled-sided tape for the black one as well. I opted out of it once I heard that. I don't want to loose another crest on the highway.

The Silver and Black Crest was standard on my 2000 C4 and same crest on the airbag steering wheel but smaller. The hood crest is mounted with the same posts as the Gold.

Someone put that there.... Porsche never made a silver crests, they only made gold. All the silver ones out there are aftermarket, even though there might a Porsche number on it. Silver on the steering wheel is by Porsche.

+1 Porsche NEVER made a crest other than the gold.... anything else was aftermarket rather approved by Porsche or not

and that cheaper one looks like hell...I mean its fine on a 997 or a Boxster I guess.. .but not a real Porsche

The silver and black does look nice on the blue. My badge is a little loose also. Is there anything to do to snug them up?
