Default Good Source of Switched Power Supply?

I need to add additional 12V power supply outlets to support all the electronic gadgets I carry around. I'd like to hardwire a multi-outlet pod that is turned on and off by the ignition.

Is a direct connection to the fuse box my best option? Any suggestions as to what to hook up to?

Appreciate your input.

Depending on your intended current draw for your gadgets, you can tap into the factory accessory position for switched power, or you could get a signal from elsewhere and wire in a fused connection with a relay(s) from the fusebox, or battery.

There's a spare plug in the center console that has both switched and unswitched power.

Hooked it up. Works great! Easy to access on right side by taking off center console covers.

After spending all day on it, I could not find anything. The access to the inside of the car is really impossible unless you pierce one of those grommet located on top of the engine and coming up right under the ECU and relays behind the rear seats, but that is not ideal as smell and smoke would come into the car.

Only way I can find is to run a cable undernearth the car along the plumbing there. all the way to the front battery.

I tried to look at fishing a wire into the tail light harness, forget about it, the path is a mess.

SUCKS !
