Heat could be an issue on coated vs non coated. Dont recall anyone that has actually tested the diff. Maybe someone will chime in.

I had mine coated and commented on another thread that I thought my engine compartment ran cooler since my fan did not kick on as much as usual. Many thought I was crazy but still feel the same way. Not tested just a personal observation.

bump for good service from Darin. I put on a system that's not exactly in line with my use & shocker! it's too loud . So, now I have my OEM cans in the mail & should have them in a few weeks. Should have done this on day 1.

I replaced my coils and plugs last week, took the exhaust off....the previous owner (who I don't know, bought it from a dealer) did the mod....and based on the quality of work, I'm going to say that this is Darin's work. Haven't seen it before, but everybody else who posts pictures of a local shop doing it is nothing like this.

I love my Fister!

Update: installed these last night and am really impressed with the sound, not to mention the service & ease of working with Darin. I've spent some time messing around with different mods to breathe some life into the sound and this mod is the single best $ per smile factor I've found.

Yes, that certainly is our work. I am glad you are enjoying them!

I'd really like to get a set of these. Has there been any discussion about the change in back pressure impacting engine performance?

My intention with the fisters was sound only, but I did see a youtube video this week where a guy tested fisters & the IPD plenum against OEM. He noted 3rwhp improvement with the fisters (unkonwn with IPD due to testing issues) but it was a one-day, side-by-side test. I think a better test would be to let the ECU adapt to the different hardware and test, but I'm not a dynocologist.

Great, thanks for the info. I wasn't really concerned with power gain but rather loss in performance by changing back pressure without adjusting anything else like the tune. It sounds like that isn't the case.
