Default shifter linkage showdown evo/agency/schnell

So im putting a 997 shifter assembly in my 996 and would like to upgrade the shifter linkage. Has anyone used the schnell piece? it looks like an evo copy for half the price.
Any thoughts on which way i should go?
Also I read there is a ten dollar alignment tool that can be purchased? anyone know where to get it?

I installed the 997 short shifter and I love it. I did not use the alignment tool and didnt need to but I think you can order it from Porsche.

I did not change the linkage but installed the Porsche 997 Short Shift Kit (#99742498300). The wing is part of the Porsche OEM GT3/Aerokit..

I did not use the 'centering tool' to upgrade to the B&M short shift. It is really not necessary, simply drive the car and try all the gears, it can be adjusted very easily on the side of the road, and it should not take you more than one or two try to have it perfect.

this technique might even be better as you will need to try it before you put everything back together anyways.

what do you mean by "upgrade the shifter linkage" , upgrading the cables ? or the assembly part located on the gear box under the car ?
