I have done this on my BMW, simple job and I tapped into the sunroof for power. I have searched and found a few threads. Some say tap into the rear view mirror. Mine is a manual non dimming mirror. I can figure out the ground, but what wire can I tap into so it turns on and OFF with the key. I do not want to turn it off manually. I have the hard wire V1 kit. Saw a few posts but they had conflicting info. I just want to tap into the wire that will kill power when the key is out. Thanks all.

I used a meter to figure out which connection I wanted to use.

If you tap into the sunroof it turns off if the key is removed and you open the door. At least that's how mine works.

Unfortunately did not have time to do the install today. Will attempt on my next day off. Had a great time with the wife today since we have not had many days off together.
