About two or 3 years ago, I did this mounting (on a C4, not an S like yours), but, I think being a bit shorter than my original ones, it melted "a bit" the lower valance around the tips ..in both sides !

By the way, I think that I remember that the differences in diameter are between the 3.4 and 3.6 engines
Thanks for the tip. My biggest concern about them is that they might be too "short" compared to OEM tips. I'm still waiting for the delivery...

I received them today. They are beautiful. Unfortunately, they don't fit. The inner diameter of the new pipe, even with the shim they included, is too large. Even with the clamp fully closed, they are too big. I've contacted the company that sold them, and we'll see what they suggest. Perhaps they have different sizes for the C4S and the turbo and they sent me the wrong one... I'll post on this again when I have more information.

I just heard from the company. They sell a custom exhaust for turbos, and the exhaust pipe is 70mm. These tips were designed to be used with that system, or the OEM exhaust pipes for the turbo and C4S exhaust which are 60mm. As a result, thicker shims are necessary for use with OEM exhaust systems. They are sending me a set of thicker shims, and I should have the new tips on this week!

Looking forward to the installed pics Dennis, too bad they didn't include the thicker shims with the new tips.

The correct tips arrived and I installed them this morning. It only took about 15 minutes. I'm pleased with the results.

Those do look nice, Dennis. What is the exact product you ordered, and what "tweak" did you have to make to complete the order?

Your home also looks amazing!

The company that supplied the tips initially sent me the wrong tips. See page one of the thread for the link. They sent me the correct tips and they fit perfectly.

Thanks for your comment on the house! We love it!

Hi Dennis - I've followed your lead and have ordered a set of these, a weld on one of my standard C4S tips has come apart, and rather than pay a thousand for a set from the dealer, I've decided to go with these.

Was everything you needed to do the switchover in the kit? Or did you need to buy anything else? How did you remove the old C4S tips? I assume there's just a bolt or two. Please pass on any tips/advice you may have.

It's only one bolt. Use a little PB Blaster on them first to loosen them up. The replacement is very simple - you should be able to do the whole thing in about 10 minutes - and most of that time will be spent lining up the tips.

I went to start the switchover this morning, and ran into an interesting issue. The bolt "above" (which is pretty much frozen in place) turns freely, and there is nothing up there to hold it in place. It's kind of a small spot up there, so hard to get anything in there (like a wrench) to hold it.

Anyone have any advice? This is one of those frustrating, skinned-knuckles issues!

When I swapped mine I had the bumper off. Made things easier.

It's pretty simple. You can search on here and there are a number of postings.

Working from memory, I did the following
  1. Remove bumperettes (requires allen key from underneath)
  2. Remove self tapping screws that hold the bumper on (There are a couple in the wheel well and the rest in the engine compartment under the metal retainer strip IIRC).
  3. Remove bumper
