I've got a MY02 black C2 and I'm kicking around the idea of getting my Carrera II wheels refinished. I like the idea of triple black, but am not sure if it will work with Carrera II shoes. Should I have them repainted stock silver, powder coated black, or something else?

Do what you want/like to you car and not what other people think. Do you send an email out to your buddies every morning and ask them what colour tie you should wear with your suite? LOL
Taste is an individual thing, some have better taste that others but then again its all subjective.

 

I think that all black is a little harsh for a 996. Here is a pic of my C4 Cab. I prefer some contrast from the rim to the center.

 

Keep the lip silver to add some contrast, but do what you like. All dark gray wheels also look good on a black car.
Here is mine with Carrera IV rims.

 

LOL... I've never seen the combo before and I'm an accountant, so I don't have any imagination so this thread was to get a little input and maybe a pic before I spend $$$ and deface my wheels.

 

Well if you want the Darth Vader look than tint your windows and paint the rims satin black (not gloss)
If you dont want too much attention, I suggest a gun metal finish.
If you want lots pf attention, you can do this....
Now you have to do my taxes for free.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I found a pic from Wheel Dynamics with a silver lip on the Carrera IIs that I like (ideally, I'd just get aftermarket rims, but I just had twins and money's tight at the moment). With this twist, I just have to decide on the gloss vs. satin black...

Where does one get black/silver Porsche center caps?
