Default top strut mount question, help

hi guys, just received my parts from sunset to complete my rebuild, my car is an o3 c4s

Seb,

I just looked them up and the ones that you received appear to be the right ones for a C4 and C4S from 1999 to 2004. You should have part numbers 996-343-015-04-M100 and 996-343-016-04-M100.

I am not sure how C2 mounts made it onto the car, but that seems wrong. Do you know if someone replaced the struts before.

I would personally mount the factory correct parts and not replicate what was on the car before - who knows what the PO did.

Yes, Yes and Yes ^^^^C2 suspension parts don't belong on a C4 (S).

The C4 front mounts have a bearing as part of the assembly, the C2 mounts don't. If you have a C4 you need the bearings.

the major difference i see from the 2 top mounts is one of them as an angle and not the other...


i have another problem

my new front bilstein struts that i just received dont have the lower plate to support the spring, what the ****???
