But the door panels really look like those from a 993. Definitely not an earlier Carrera as the main grab bar was much more vertical.

oh for sure the door panels are 993 (with the exception of missing the round **** by the window switch)

my guess is the car had a mix of parts (updates?)
you can see the engine lid latch.... its round...= early

If it's a 993 Turbo Cab, it's one of only 12-14 ever built according to this:

http://993c4s.com/porsche-culture/po...actoid-part-3/

Were any Turbo 930 Cabs built prior to the 993s? And are the door panels 993 or earlier?

Cool

...and the news article states that the driver tried to go around a surprise rock in the road and the turbo kicked in and flung the car off the cliff.
Door panels look 993 to me.

Here is a photo of a 993 door panel:

No cabs until the 83 SC...

I'm guessing that this is an early 90's 964 cab with a transplanted early 930 motor...

I could not find a 993 door panel (which I agree this is) that didnt have this part... the one in the crash is missing it ?? is it a speaker or the lock???

and FWIW NO-ONE back dates a fuel supply system... that motor is NOT 993 (If I am wrong I will donate another $20 to rennwish!)

(let's make this worth doing )

according to this site that motor was offered in the 91-93 Turbo... to me it looks older, but i can prove it - I vote NO WAY on 993 motor
