Default Winter Hibernation is OVER.. hopefully

I finally (after 5 months) pulled the car cover off today and took her for a drive. It was fantastic!! I hope the nice weather sticks around for good.

Finally, how does it feel to be behind the wheel of your Porsche compared to your Audi?

That sounds great and I'm jealous.... No such chance in Michigan yet although I'm crossing my fingers... need the rain to wash the salt off the road and for it to warm up a bit.

Enjoy!

I took her out today, it was over 50 finally.

These dumb#%^$ were using loose gravel to fill potholes on the highway. Not asphalt that has a chance of sticking, but loose freakin' gravel, pea size.

I turned around and went back home.

Luckily they don't dump that much gravel on the road, where are you from?

Enjoy it while it lasts. I've never lived in Neb. but I lived in Mo. long to recognize in the winter when these nice spells of weather hit it usually means nasty weather just a few days a way. The low pulls up air from the south, moist warm air and things get downright balmy, then as the low moves down that moisture falls as rain, ice/snow or even hail. Some of the nastiest weather has come late Feb. early March.

Remember, in Neb. there's nothing between you and the north pole but some barb wire fences, so don't venture too far from home in the Porsche.

Sincerely,

Macster.

I took mine out today. It was cold out and had to put on a sweater, but being a white guy I still wore shorts.

Now that it's on the market, I'm driving it now more than ever...

Ryan:

We lived in Omaha for 10 years, and I don't remember mid-February being the end of the messy season. But, maybe global warming has done it for you guys. I remember thaw, freeze cycles, with lots of salt in the middle to keep the ice at bay. I'm sitting quietly, waiting for another 60 days. The plows were good enough to spill 20 pounds of salt across the intersection just two houses down from me. Going to take a bit of rain to wash that stuff off the street!!!!

I hear ya! For the past 8 yrs I've lived here the nasty storms typically happen in Feb-Mar. But hey the forecast says 68 degrees on Thursday.. I can't let the 996 pass that one up!
