Awsome, nice to see you stayed with the Porsche marquis! In spite of what I've heard, I think the GT3 would be a great DD, It's got to be better than my lifted Jeep or GSXR, lol.

I don't need to tell you to enjoy;-)

So true. I got rid of my Jeep TJ when I bought the C4S. Short wheelbases and lift kits don't really do much for me on the street. Off road's a different story!

I'm thinking about changing my middle name to ENJOY!

Dude!

So how the hell does a guy go from a bush league P-car to the pros in a year?

You suck.

Those cars are really made to be enjoyed and it sure appears you will be doing so
I hope you have some sort of connection to the police or fire department driving a bright red car hehehe
Looks like fresh meat bait to me. No need to scream enjoy to you as you flash by in the turn

The Fahrer is my brother in law and I drove the red beast this morning and I can confirm that it is deed just that.... A BEAST!!! We were getting on the interstate and at 60mph or so, and I punched it. She power slid Right there on the ramp under total control. OMG what a vehicle.

Fahrer took the wheel and showed a glimpse of what this car can do on the twisties. He is a VERY good P car driver. And the braking. Thank goodness the seat belts lock up quick.

All I can say is watch out Road Atlanta. Here comes big red and she ain't no red headed stepchild. She is coming to take names.

Honestly, the difference is night and day. The GT3 is a much more visceral beast which requires a lot more attention.
Did you look at or consider the new GTS?

I think that if the car is not your daily driver, the GT3 is the Porsche to have.

I will be at the DE in June. Look me up! Like you say, can't miss the car

Yes! I did consider the GTS. When it came down to it there were 3 issues which pushed me to the GT3
1. Every GTS I saw on the lot was a PDK (I wanted manual)
2. While the GTS comes with some nice upgrades, I was looking for more of a track oriented vs. street oriented car.
3. Price points for the GTS and GT3 are roughly the same, so, for me, it was a no brainer.

The GT3 could be a daily driver, but, really its a track and mountain road toy. I would really hate to put empty miles on a car like this making the trek back and forth to work.
