Default looking for a body/paint shop recommendation to paint bumper

currently, the bumper is black. I need to get it stripped and painted Speed Yellow so I can replace my current bumper.

also, the previous owner painted the lip that is on there black. Can this be stripped to the original black plastic? Even though it may be a good idea for the previous owner of the bumper to paint the lip, it'll get messed up from debris or definitely by my driveway.

Shop needed in Los Angeles area. I'm located near downtown. I can drop the bumper off.

I'm thinking the cost should be no more than $500.

First off I hate body shops, been screwed by too many of them in L.A. We just picked up a 996 for my wife that was damaged in the front and finally found a good guy that I recommend. Our car is over there right now getting painted.

Ask for Jason and tell him Mike with the black 996 sent you, I'm pretty sure he'll give you a good deal.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

If you don't mind driving to Pasadena, these guys are good. Used them for a bumper repaint on a S320 Benz.

I've used this guy for my Volvo and Passat - paint match was perfect

See my friends at Bells Autosport in Huntington Beach. I know it is not that close to LA but they do awesome work and are certified by Porsche USA to work on all Porsche automobiles. PM me if you are interested. http://www.bells-auto.com/

Not looking to hijack the thread, just wondering if that $500 estimate to repaint the bumper turned out to be realistic. A dealer is quoting me $1400 to do the job on my car...

If you're willing to go down to Anaheim, CA.

I know of a guy who sprays glasurit and for a very reasonable price. I know he works on show cars and Lambos, Ferrari, etc.

he also cleans up headlights! made mine look like brand new with a full polish and he sprays a hard coat. NOT A CLEARCOAT!!! very important to know the difference haha. He did mine for under $100 and he doesn't just buff and polish!
