Why would you remove the rear cats on your family SUV?

You made the right choice with family in mind. Sorry you had to let it go though. Its worse than breaking up with a girlfriend!

Why not?

Give the V8 a nicer sound... If it's like the Cayenne S it has 2 for each side and one set is pretty useless.

Touregs are awesome. Not performance-oriented like the Cayenne, but nice vehicles nevertheless. Great for long high trips.

Uh, I would have purchased a new Subaru outback wagon with the flat 4 and the cvt trans. Gets awesome fuel mileage, great crash scores, kid & dog friendly...... and kept the Porsche.

To each his own. Good luck.

Same setup....they say the v8 toureg and the cayanne S are very similiar. Quadcammer do some research the rear cats on v8 touregs and cayenne S before you interject your opinion...just becuase its the part-time family hualer doesnt mean I have to curl up and die.

No air-suspension...I was told to stay away from them from the service tech...he said otherwise very reliable truck.

That stated, I don't see the point in making said car louder, nor do I understand how leaving the stock alone is akin to "curling up and dieing"

Call me an old man I guess, but I like my luxury or family vehicles as dead silent as possible.

I like the Touareg better than the Cayenne. I'm also looking for an suv, but I need three rows. If it werent for the third row a Touareg would be tops on my list, white with teak interior. The things are tanks, 5500lbs and about 14mpg. Throw in the four zone climate control and heated rear seats, whats not to love. I like the idea of the sport technos or have you considered 22" rinspeed reps?

Hey fty, you did what you had to do, for now anyway. When the time is right, you'll own a Porsche again, congrats on your deal.
