And Tbred, you make a good point, if the correct side skirts don't do the trick, I can always replace the nose.

betterbodies.com has both MKII side skirts and the ones that FLY996 has.

Which would look best? If I decide that the GT2 nose is too big even with the side skirts, would FLY996's side skirts look good with a MKII nose?

Also the MKII side skirts come in both Polyurethane for $499.00 and Fiberglass for $375.00. Which do you guys have?

I'm guessing that Polyurethane is more forgiving?

Beauty is in the eye.......what ever you decide I would go with poly. Fiberglass will crack.

Actually the more I think about it, changing the side skirts is actually a better solution than changing the nose.

I never really liked the MKI skirts. I always liked the nose.

It's probably an essier job to do also. Is changing the side skirts a DYI job?

Can you buy Porsche paint? I have a paint gun and compressor.

theres no such thing as porsche paint, or ferrari paint or kia paint. You just go to a paint supply store and give them the paint code and they show you all the different brands of paint they sell. Look in the phone book ,automotive paint and body supply .
I would recommend R&M BASF DuPont, PPG
I dont recommend you do any of this yourself unless youve had years of experience in paint and body work

I have the factory skirts, assume they are poly.

Thats a good point, I didn't even think about selling the MKI skirts.

Thanks

Also a good point about a body shop doing it.

I just went on YouTube and looked to see how hard it is to change the front bumper.

It's like 8 screws and the whole thing comes off!!!

After looking at the white and blue GT3, I may look at putting on a turbo or GT3 nose to match the MKI side skirts.

Are MKI skirts completely inapporpriate on a 2003?

I know I'm beating this to death, I'm just trying to figure out my options.

What about a turbo nose and the MKI side skirts?

Why the PO put MKI side skirts on an MKII is besides me

Really??? That makes me feel so much better!!!

I didn't want to drive around with the wrong parts on my car.

So what is the correct nose for an MKI side skirt?

You can get front bumpers on eBay pretty easily and after watching the YouTube bumper removal, it's a piece of cake!

And also, I could sell the GT2 nose.

Any pictures of the MKI front bumper? Is it the GT3 bumper?
