Default rear strut top access on cabriolet

How do you gain access to the 3 strut top nuts on a mkII cabriolet? Can I just remove the panel behind the seat backs or can I only gain access with the roof partially open? Thank you.

just partially open the top then release the two hook (actually like a wire) then lift the rear window. when the rear window is up, you have access to the strut top after you dig under the insulations. Good Luck!

Thank you very much. It sounds easy enough. Is this true for the glass window cars as well?

Yes, at least that's how it is in my car.
