Default Indie Shop in Chapel Hill/Durham?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good indie shop in the CH/Durham area to do a PPI?
Thanks
Joe

Brad over at Digital Chassis is awesome. He hosted us (Carolinas Region PCA) a few months back to show us his new shop and the services he can perform. Very bright guy. Just make sure you are EXPLICIT what you want done.

Thanks, Dell. I'll put him in my book.

+1 for Brad. Technically he does tires and suspensions... But in reality he can do just about anything. He won't answer the phone. Leave a message and mention that Dell or I told you to call ;-)

European Performance in Raleigh is very good if you need a shop on that side of the Triangle.

Another vote for Digital Chassis.

I would also go for Brad at DC. Just don't be scared of his huge assistant with the apron and the gun, unless you were planning on robbing the place. Then be very afraid.

He totally transformed the way my 944 handled. He also didn't charge me when it took 3 days to get my old ball joints out of the 944...he kept the rate as he originally quoted.

I have a friend in Cary, Ahmet, who also posts on here. He has done a LOT of work for me as well as many PPIs (as well for my family). Most recently he drove up to Maryland with me (in his own 996) to do an inspection on a 996TT for me. He has also done 2 engine rebuilds, headgaskets, clutches, regular maintenance, modification work, etc. He is very reasonable, and he is one of the few I trust. I'd definately drop him a line...

Man, that Ahmet guy sure is special. :P I actually started doing work when I got tired of fixing after people on my own Porsche 944 turbo a million years ago. I still get calls from shops asking to talk to me on how to time one properly, brings a tear to my eyes...

In the Chapel Hill/Durham area, Brad is quite good, and honest from what I've seen. He is perpetually busy though, probably a good sign actually. I wouldn't hesitate to use him for alignments, Performance Chassis in Cary is not bad for that either, though few places are as thorough and meticulous as Digital Chassis.

I live in Raleigh, work in Cary. I just brought home a new to me '03 996 C2. An oil change was performed at 89k, however, it skipped it's 90k miles service so I was looking to either DIY or have it done at European Performance.

Also, have the receipt from the 60k service from the previous owner which was done right at 4 years ago. I am thinking I may go ahead and replace the plugs as well.

European Performance has taken care of my last three Porsches. They do a good job and I trust them. However their repair estimates (as opposed to regular maintenance) are usually a bit low. For repairs just assume that your bill will be ~15% higher than quoted and you won't be upset when you get to the counter.

Is there anyone specific that you deal with at EP?
