Intake manifold resonance flap
I am not sure when this flap operates. But last weekend I changed all the secondary air system components, which also included the electric relay that controls manifold vacuum to the resonance flap.
I would swear that my car has more power mid range than before. Feels like more torque.
The old secondary air valve did have a failed diaphragm which was effectively an intake manifold leak which diminished the vacuum source to the resonance flap. Was it enough to affect performance, or am I imagining things?
