Angry Alarm Help Needed

I keep my 2002 C4S stored in a garage in Venice Fl and usually drive it once a month on my visits there. This time we missed a month and the car sat with the alarm on for two months. Consequently the battery was dead, so I opened the door with the key as per the manual, opened the fuse box, pulled out the positive terminal and hooked up jumper cables to give me power to open the front hood. The alarm activated as expected, so I tried to deactivate it by using the key in the door and locking/unlocking the car as per the manual. The alarm would not turn off so the front hood would not release. I tried with the driver side door closed with key in door, then with key in ignition, then started over many times without ever being able to deactivate the alarm. The radio alarm light was blinking when I started and now is just a steady red. The car alarm light no longer blinks and the battery is definitely dead.
Is there another way to open the front hood to gain access to the battery? Can I deactivate the alarm to open the front hood? I've been told to tow the car to the nearest Porsche Dealer (Sarasota) to have the alarm reprogrammed. This will be expensive so I'm hoping there is another solution.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Peter
