The Fix for the Cat O2 sensors is a extension tube that brings them out of the exhaust stream...
FVD Brombacher has them.

Bump for my question a few posts up:
Can you guys give me a brief description of what "bypassing" does? Assume if you bypass mufflers you are louder, can remove them and save the weight?
Why would you bypass the cats? Same reason? Are both legal?
Do you have to re-chip or reprogram your ECU as the system is set up to run with back pressure? Any HP disadvantage? Thanks.

So you have a louder car with less weight in the back. I'm assuming that's the advantage.
Does it require a computer change (chip, reprogram, etc.) now that the car is running on less back pressure? Is it street legal?

I've driven by cops many times, just around town or on the freeway, and no one's pulled me over so far.
Fabspeed claims that their muffler bypass pipes are emissions legal at least.

I had a cop follow me only once with no mufflers or bypass pipes on. It was very loud. He never pulled me over though. I don't think bypass pipes are loud. Maybe I've gotten used to them or my hearing is shot from working about jet engines.

Every state has different laws, check with local authorities. GA does not have any laws concerning modification of your car. However there are noise ordinances which would get you a ticket if you drive WOT. I think there maybe Federal laws against modifying emissions systems, ill have to google it. In which case its "dont ask dont tell" haha

i was running cat and muffler bypass pipes and it was very very loud,
i liked the sound a lot but after 2 days, i got pulled over by the police and got a warning,
at WOT, you could hear my car like 1 kilometer away, imagine
i decided to put back the stock mufflers but i kept my fabspeed catbypass, the sound is in between and is enjoyable

I would agree that bypass for both cat/muffler would be over the top & only really would be usefully with a properly tuned/built race car.
Myself, I still run the stock Cat's with the muffler bypass.

IMO these ONLY sound acceptable at WTO - every other rpm and in town cruising they sound like something is wrong with the car - makes starting in first EASY though cuz you can finally hear your motor - till ya go deaf
