Talking Intro

Hello all, new owner intro here; pristine 1999 C2, blue & beige, ~40K miles, no winters, clean history, great records...lucky find after looking at many. She joins a supercharged Lotus Elise and a garage queen Triumph TR6 in the fun fleet...this should actually be a fun car that actually has some utility!

We wanted a fun car that we could enjoy with the 4 year old. I got tired of the looks when I'd say couldn't take her in the other toys...plus, to put it mildly, my Better Half never quite warmed up to the Elise...

Great forum here, it was invaluable to my researching these cars. Look forward to getting involved.

a few pics from when we picked her up:

Welcome!

I know the feeling about having a car the family can enjoy. I regularly take my kids and wife out in my Cab.

Great looking car you got there. Must be real nice. I know it was nice to finally be driving a great road car when I got mine.

Did the camera mess with the color a little or is it actually that color? My car seems to like to change colors depending on the light.

Welcome! Your car is exactly like mine minus the white gauges and tan floor mats. I even have the trash in the passenger door storage.

thanks for the welcomes folks.

answers to the questions:

yes, the picture is pretty close to the exterior color, great combo but the beige/blue interior did take a few minutes to appreciate...

i am a hobby pilot and airplane addict. fly the typical Piper/Cessna birds and volunteer at a small museum that gets me some stick time in a T6. Flight time is down sharply since offspring arrived.

Mods? no, no, not this time...nope..I'm past that..just as i pledged w/ the Elise (before the s/c, exhaust, 2 pc rotors..), the 328is (until the M and Dinan parts started arriving), the 318ti before that (until I......

i tend to be a conservative modder sticking to factory, OEM or equivalent parts...
