Not in Orange County, but in Los Angeles, try West End Alignment. Look for threads through a search. Need to make an appointment. Guy will have you sit in the car while it's being aligned to get it right. Have fun and congrats on your new car.

I already said that I haven't taken pictures of it yet. That one in my avatar is from the sale ad that I bought it from, and yes I asked him first. I haven't even owned the car for a week yet, so I will take pictures this weekend when I'm actually out during the day. I do have to work to pay for this ya know

Also, I am not a "he" so does #5a come into play?

In THAT case.... pics of the car WITH YOU are MOST APPOPRIATE !!

I hope you understand we are having fun and not too serious... its just the "flavor" of the forum to give the new guy (gal in this case) a little hard time to see how they react .. all in good sporting fun.....

(But do post a pic.... WITH YOU )

I know, you guys just like to tease the newbies. No worries, I may be a girl, but I'm not that fragile lol.

Die, bastard!

We have threats of a tropical storm dropping 6 inches of rain with wind over 40 mph.

But one week from today, I drive 500 miles back to Ohio farmland for the first week of turkey season! I know this road...

I would recommend you join the PCA, and tap into the Orange County Region's website for good recommendations for local shops. You can also post down below in the region-specific forums for a little better chance of local recommendations.

Nice looking car, welcome.

Great idea to join PCA. In fact, there is a breakfst meeting tomorrow at Original Mike,s in Santa Ana for the Orange Coast Region of Porsche Club of America. People start to gather at about 8:00, breakfast is around 9 am. There is usually around 70-80 cars, all vintages. Lots of people to talk with that can suggest shops in your area.

Original Mike's
100 S. Main St. (corner of Main St. and 1st)
Santa Ana, CA 92701

I will be there tomorrow morning and would be happy to introduce you around. Ask for Laura Hergesheimer.

Kristy,

Welcome to Rennlist and Congrats on getting the 996!

Now lets get down to business! As a few others have already mentioned, it is customary for Newbies to tell us a little about their car and to post pics. So consider this next sentence your "Newbie Initiation."

Come on, Newbie, post the !@#$%^&* pics!

Congratulations - these are awesome cars.
I have had my 996 for only about a month a half now and use it as my daily commuter car.
Everyday I like it more and more - leaning more about what it can do.
I purposely leave the radio off most of the time just so I can hear the engine as I whine through the gears.
I actually look forward to driving into work in the morning - just for the ride.
I am sure you will have a similar experience - enjoy!
