Default ABS Failure

This past weekend, my ABS went out while on the track. I have no ABS at all. I can lock all four up without any effort at all. The ABS light is on solid. Electrical power is good. No codes, but I only had a generic OBD2 reader. Has anyone had this type of failure?

Uhhh, wouldn't be able to lock up all four with boiled fluid!

Good suggestion. I wish I'd thought of it at the track.

Yup, fluid is fine. Good brake pedal, and no problem locking up the brakes.

I didnt think boiling the fluid meant it was still boiling several days later??? I thought maybe he boiled it (or nearly) that caused an issue that might go away with a re-flush / reset... it was a thought

Check that and then read codes with proper scanner. I am back and will give you a call in a bit.

It grounds via the headlight ground on the driver's side IIRC. Accidentally cut it once and experienced the same effect. Took me a whole day at the track to figure it out. Duh....

Yes drivers side and there is actually 2 there, 1 ground bolts to the top of the frame rail horn (this was the one loose on Mike's car), and the other goes to the side of the inner fender well. Both brown wires and obvious grounds. Different years may have different locations. They do go into harness and also work as grounds for headlights and other things.
