Default Winter Tire HAsh, hash and rehash...

I have an 02' C4S.

Since Porsche recommends
18" Recommended Front: 225/40-18
18" Recommended Rear: 265/35-18

Does that mean i could use C4 996 standard rims as a winter set for my C4S?

I'm having a bit of a time sorting the offset differences...

Do you mean standard 18' rims or standard 17" rims?

Aren't the offsets different? I think they are.

I bought a set of dedicated winter wheels last year and ran Blizzaks on mine. They performed well.

The manual recommends:

Front: 8Jx18 offset 50

Rear: 10Jx18 offset 47

If you want to keep you Stock wheels, the rears will have to be changed as the C4S rear wheel size is 11J and no manufacturer makes a snow tire in 295.

a 265 on an 11" rim would not be wise IMO

in fact the calculator I use wont even allow me to put the two together, 10" is max wheels width for a 265.
