I am looking for a black C4 cab 2000 to 2002 and am finding it is more of a buyers market. I got less for my 85 targa than I expected also. I watched 3 C4 auctions on bay this week and only one got any action at all.

One additional bit of information. The engine on my 996 was replaced by Porsche under warranty at 24,000 miles, so the new engine 45,000 miles on it. Thanks for all the comments. Kevin

The green was one of my top picks along with midnight blue when I was looking. Seemed to me all 996's where silver & black when I was looking, certainly not hard to find.
I think once you have a black car, it is enough for most. Mine looked dirty most of the time.
People are buying 996's now because they are great deals. Many start looking at 1999 MKI 's priced from $15k-ish & up with high miles. They go through the Porsche learning curve and buy some where above the entry level 996, maybe double in price what they started looking at. Sort of if you are going to do it, do it right- with in your budget.
