Default Door open/window down adj

Just wanted to ask if the adjustment for the window down when door is opened is a simple task or rather involved? I have the shop manual at home, but live with my girl and won't be back there for a bit. Just want to know if it's ez or not

Grazie!!

I think it depends on exactly what you need to do.

If you just need an adjustment, then you can access the adjustment screws on the window regulator from the bottom of the door, by removing the little rubber caps that cover the openings to the inside of the door.

If your regulator is bad and it isn't dropping the window enough to clear the trim when you open the door, then that is a more involved process that includes removing the door panel and replacing the regulator mechanism.

Thanks Dennis! Actually, what my issue is, is that when I open the passenger door, I have to lift the handle all the way up for the window to drop, and the door is actually opening while the glass goes down, whereas the drivers door window opens as I am lifting up on the door handle, before the door has opened. Not a real big deal, and I am carful to wait, as to avoid the window grabbing the rubber.

It could be a regulator going bad, but hopefully you just need an adjustment. You have to have the window most of the way down to reach the adjustment nuts, and I think I was able to adjust mine using a small metric socket - 5.0 or 5.5mm as I recall, on a long extension.
