Default Price check on '02 Cab?

Had a friend asking me about a 2002 Cabriolet. He is in the northern Chicago suburbs so guessing the vehicle is around that area. He had some limited information on the car, no option codes or VIN.

So, does the price sound reasonable? Any specific things issues he should have checked?

Thanks

Found a 2002 Carrera cabriolet - 50k miles, looks very good and drives well. Some minor wear but nothing that appears abusive.

Anything I should check on? Front wheel wells do not have the textured finish that the rears do.

Asking is $29k, which is about blue-book retail (it's at a non-Porsche dealer).

FWIW, I don't think the 996's front fenders are suppose to have the textured "lips"...only the rear fenders do.

Thanks for the replies. He has decided to keep his mini and watch for a better specimen of 911.
