Find a good wheelwright (wheel repair place ) and they will be able to fix you up right away. I've had to have my Fikse FM10s done a couple of times.

Were my wheels ever that new? After 10 years and the last 3 in the snow/salt they've really taken a beating.

You can sometimes get wheels refinished with pretty good results. I had all four of mine done in the spring by a guy that was recommended by my Porsche dealer. He did them for $50 per wheel, and I am very pleased with the results.

Much, much too late. They really need to be disassembled with the outer lip polished and the centers recoated.

Just curious, is this something that could be a DIY? Are the halves sealed together with anything special and would the bolts need to be replaced?

the object is; to grind or sand it down till it is all smooth, then fine sand and polish till it is shinny. it depends on how deep it is as to the amount required for each step. even if its polished out bright and shinny it wont show as much as the big scratches.
