Default Low profile oil catch receiver

Have any of you tried this one? http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...rrivals&page=1

I'm going to get one once Griot's sends some good coupon codes.

I have nothing against Griot's, but really, $70 for an oil drain pan??? I hope those are some good coupons

Personally, I use a 15 quart Blitz container that fits under my Boxster w/o need to be raised (haven't done an oil change of on the C4S yet) that cost me about $12.

Awesome, you can wheel it under a low profile car. How the hell are you going to get under there to remove the oil drain plug?

I can do the Boxster from the driver side after first loosening the drain plug just a bit. I then slide the pan under and finish removing the drain plug and just let it fall onto the top of the pan. It is a bit of a reach but it does eliminate the need to jack up the car, which saves the 10-15 minutes to get out the jack stands and place them.

Yeah it's alot for an oil catch can. I had the Blitz and the cap that screws on where you would dump it cracked slightly and leaked. Griot's usually sells quality stuff, so I don't mind paying the extra $. Plus they warranty most things for life.

The coupons are generally 15% off a certain amount. But they don't send them out during the summer months it seems.

Worthless. Go recycle a 5-gallon paint container (plastic). You can even buy one from Home Depot for a couple of bucks and it will be orange. Cut it down to handle about 12 quarts of oil. Unless, of course, you're looking to just spend money.
