Ditto after some more driving today.

Maybe I'm just having a bad DIY day but this seems a lot harder than the tutorial made it sound. My side vent was pretty stubborn, so I went at the switch by just removing the center vent piece under the dash. Even that was a pain until I had the idea of running the heater a bit to soften it up (it's about 60 degrees F here). I was able to get at the switch but contorting my hand and the screwdriver to get at the top set screw seemed almost impossible. I ran out of time today but will try again removing the side vent first. Have folks on this list had success without removing the side vent, or does most everyone do it that way ?

Give it a good tug. It will come out.
