Technical Question-Air Box hose

I've seen a number of engine bay pics where the hose frome the air box to the engine is RED.
Is this an aftermarket part? I thought they were all black.

It is an aftermarket piece, they claim it flows better...

I'm looking for a stock piece for my 996, anybody got one for sale?
