Default My First Porsche

Hello everyone, love the board. Learning alot about my new mistress that I picked up two weeks ago.

She's a little used...but I plan on getting her into perfect shape ASAP. Have already replaced rotors/pads, new tranny bracket, new steering wheel. Next on the list is to swap the Nav (PCM1) that has no disc and is now a waste of space with aftermarket system, remove the swirl marks and replace all faded trim and rubber.

Here she is, 2002 911 Turbo w/X50

Awesome car! Welcome aboard!

Remember, keep the shiny side up and the headlights in front of you.

Really nice....look into some gt3 wheels for it...maybe even in titanium gray. It will update the look of the car. Red looks beautiful.

Thanks all - she is a dream to drive. I spent about six hours yesterday working on the paint (some prior owner was not nice to her paint) and the lights.

Used Ultimate Compound, followed by liquid wax (both from M) and used the clear plastic polishing kit from the same that comes with Plastix and the brush for a drill. They look almost 100% now. I'll post more pics soon - I can notice the difference in person - not sure if the pics will show.

Thanks for the advise on the wheels. I talked with another pcar owner @ work and we talked about that too.

Questions for everyone - thoughts on:
Tinting ? (yes or no and what to get)
What to use to maintain leather and plastic inside (no Armor All)
Aftermarket Stereo/NAV system (2 DIN) to replace PCM1 system in there now.
