I hear the clutch on the C4s (996) is heavy. Compared to the 996 C4 is there a difference? I've not found the 996 C4 to be heavy at all, the 992 C2's are actually quite light.
Compared to the 997 C2 is there a difference?
I'm in the middle of a search and am down to a few finalists. I'm coming from a 03 Vette with a pretty heavy clutch anyway. Had an M3 with a beast of a clutch before that.
Is the '02 C4s just to old to consider at this point (~40k miles), vs an '06 997C2?
I love the grip of the 4S, but won't have it in snow, mostly DD rain/sun in the Northeast area.
Advice?

There was a huge difference between the pressure needed to press the clutch on my 03 996 C2 (sold) and my 06 997 C2. The first time I drove the 997, I almost put my foot through the floor as the clutch pedal pressure needed was so light. You can become comfortable with either, so it wasn't a deciding factor in my purchase.

I have a '00 C2 cab and my clutch is new and it's so light and smooth compared to what it's used to be. But my friend's '06 997S felt so heavy in comparison, so it's not consistent with others here. I guess it's all depends on the car you drive and how the clutch was installed/setup??? My friend did a PPI at RAC and they did not find anything wrong with his clutch, still good...
