Well the first thing to do is read the code... there are so many things it "could be" that guessing is just foolish.
the list could go from a loose cap somewhere, a failed AOS, bad coil, cam sensor, sticky lifter, 02 sensor.....
but in reality if it thru a CEL its more than likely electrical - this last couple weeks have popped up some very strange car problems so I wont be guessing.. dont drive it though and if you have to, have it towed in and checked out. There is nothing like saving a couple humdred to end up costing much more because it was driven when it should not have been

lucky i guess
ivangene, i talked to one of the porsche indys, & he told me to try to start car, that it could be the car had some condensation on one of the plugs or coil, can't remember which, but it had been stormin here for a couple of days, & sure enough the car is running just as smooth as ever now. COULDN'T BELIEVE IT, now i jus need to get 60,000 mile check up, is there some basic check-up that i need to do like the plugs, oil, etc..., i know most of the tune up is just checkin every thing, i've heard between $1000 - $1600, does that sound about rite, i know alot of the stuff is diy, do i really need the indy to do everything, or just the basic stuff. thx again for your help.

Three Wheelin'
Sounds like you need one or more new coils. Now you can fret over whether to change just the bad one or change out all of them as a set.
