OK, Tks, Marc.
Although I like the look, it's tough for me to justify the cost (+300.00) for something no one ever sees. Wonder how he found of a sub-$100 complete box especially on E-b. Lucky him.

The 3.8 airbox does take a little more compartment room. Not much though.
I notice it doesn't have the flat seal to prevent hot engine gasses at lower rpms getting into the intake. I'm not even sure of the differences in external air pressures compairing the open bottom of the engine and the top spoiler area before and after spoiler raising. If the pressure is higher on the bottom at any periods its going to promote hot air into the intake. But like I care after running an offenhauser single plane intake and 4 barrel with no air filter housing or filter on a hot rod.
I would be concered about how the alternator has less space around it. This could lead to earlier failure of the diode stacks from extra heat exposure. But then if cooler air flow is in that area then maybe the alternator will stay cooler. Eh I don't know.
Cool mod. You know there are places online or at trophy shops you could have a different plate made for the 997 box Just make sure you get into some understanding of which adhesive to use for that hot spot in there. I'm not sure common trophy styles of glue will stand up to engine compartment heats.
