[QUOTE=LVDell;7690504]Just curious - why is that? I'm asking sincerely.

OP- great choice, rims looks perfect...
I'm also interested in more info on the 305/30. I've seen other members run this size with no probs and others not recommend it. I run a 315/25 but want to move to the 30 series just because of the higher sidewall, but dont know if I should.

When running a tire that is larger (or smaller) than the difference tolerance allows for (not sure what Porsche's is) you will change the wheel speed that is used to calculate various parameters such as when to kick in ABS, TC, PSM, AWD transfer, etc..

Once I procure my next 911, hopefully by the end of summer, I am either going with these rims, or the same that I had on my 99 Aero. I forget the name of the replicas that I had (maybe champion type?), but the main difference with them was that they had a super-wide chrome deep-dish rim on the rears (with 295's, I can't believe you guys are getting 315's on without rubbing, wow). I loved the look of those rims, but was afraid to drive the car and hit a pothole.
The wheels in this thread don't seem to have a dish on them at all, but seem to come out to the outer edge of the rim. Anyone know if this makes them less likely to bend in general? Seems logical to me, but who know?
thanks,
Todd

huge improvement over the chrome twists in my opinion. Wheel upgrade can "make" a car.... good choice going with the mesh style. Any noticeable difference in ride or steering input?
