hmmm, I bought 7 & 15mm...put the 15's on the rear and never even put the 7's on...never even dawned on me to put the thicker ones up front. Guess I just assumed the pushed out rears might make it looker alittle more wide bodied (it didn't) but it did give it a more aggressive stance while lookin from the rear.
With the thicker up front - did you get a better handling/steering feel ?

I bought the car with the spacers already installed so unfortunately I do not have a before/after comparison. That said, the steering feel is excellent and while the front end does push occasionally, I wouldn't say it has a tendency to do so.

apologies for the thread jack but there is lots of information here so seems like a good place to ask my question:
997 18 carrera III's are 8" wide et57 and 10" wide et58. What spacer size would you say work best upfront? Im guessing the back at et58 would work as is and be like a normal et65 wheel with a 7mm spacer - is this correct?
And if Im following the info above correctly, putting 7mm spacer upfront would make them fit like et50 and 15mm would make them fit like et 42? is 15mm too much?
suspension is bone stock on the 996.

Tires will not be an issue since you are not changing the size and width of the rim. You are only changing the stance of the wheel as it will sit wider than before.

If your suspension is "soft", you have to be careful when your wheels are pushed out very close to the wheel wells; you may experience tire and fender contact when driving into a dip or over speed bumps and that could make matters worse. If you have any of the Sport suspensions then you may be able to get away with minimal clearance between the tire and fender .
