Popped off the spring and the lower clamp. Got the lower part off but the upper is really stuck in there. Does just the rubber part come out of the inside of the hard line (with the clamp thingy on it) or do I need to also remove the hardline further back.

OK...got the hose out...just had to pry and pull on it.

I think I must use a porsche specific hose as it's pressurized and has an o-ring.

Attached pic is how it failed. Crack in the aluminum backet.

Thanks for the help & support

Another crack in the aluminum part!

Good thing it's not a head.

Well, I was on vacation for a week so couldn't update.

Got back on Tuesday, got the parts for a 997, required me to change out to another spring type connector on the engine side, total parts cost was about $70.

I pulled the serpantine belt (replaced with new), put on the new adapter, put on the new hose, serpantine belt. Within 20 minutes it was all done and back together. Started the car up, no leaks!

Thanks for the help and advise!
