although I doubt what one would here is bearings... rather chains with LOTS of slack hitting anything close to them - still it is not a sound I wish anyone to experiance so they can offer a more in depth description
dont want another "fear thread" so we will just keep it simple

I came across this video... I have no idea how old it is, but it seems Mark Wahlberg's 996 had an IMS failure. (And I didn't want to start a new thread for that...)

In my case I followed the LN Engineering advice and removed the outer seal on my OEM bearing so now it does receive lubrication from the engine oil. Also, on the LN bearing there is no outer seal so the engine oil does provide lubrication."
That's about the only realistic analysis of the problem in this thread.
Bottom Line: You don't use a double sealed bearing internal to an engine
or transmission and when it's non-serviceable & could result in a catatrophic
failure!
