you know i didn't realize this until today, looking at renntech i ran into a thread he posted on, but Ben also got banned from renntech

i didn't think anyone's been banned from frickin renntech

for my part I enjoyed Ben's presence, he was the yin to our collective yang. He and I disagreed on nearly all things, from style to doing your own work to you name it, but I still appreciated his passion for cars.

RE: the "Ben Choi Wheels", Ben was very particular about wheels, and wouldn't have been caught dead in anything south of a champion rg5, as he would often remind prospective wheel buyers. If those wheels weren't minimum $5K before tires, they don't get the title

Wow, going after other people's women and calling them fat. That is pretty bad. I see what you mean.

I must say, overall, this forum is better behaved then some other ones. It does seem a lot more civil.

Yeah, it was bad. We usually are a very respecting bunch when in comes to each individual personality and taste in how they dress up their car, what oil to use, if IMS exists , bling, etc.. The debates have always (even with Ben) been great banter. The problem was he didn't understand the difference between disagreeing with somebody and attacking somebody personally.

Ah oil, I can see why he would get worked up over that. That's a highly personal issue, everyone knows only people with severe character flaws use something other then Castrol synthetic 15/50.....LOL.

Maybe Ben had Aspergers Syndrome?
Love the lid on that black one, Randy. Is that an aftermarket deal?

Focus people, focus...

Randy's decklid is a factory item: it was called the "Carrera rear spoiler" and was a seperate stand-alone option. Unlike the Cup Aerokit II it was not paired with skirts and a new nose, but some people preferred the subtler Carrera wing to the Cup II wing and added skirts and the nose later. It's all good.

Hey, Look! Here (http://www.champagnechevrolet.com/Ve...ails/689014413) is a mkII aero for sale at a Chevy dealer in CT. It's um... Optimisticaly priced, but the Chevy guys' website says it's RARE so you know it must be worth it! I'm sure they won't mind us borrowing their pictures for this thread... although I must say the huge "Body Shop" sign in background is a subliminal marketing FAIL.
