‘When I changed out the front cowling my washers hit the hood underside. I ended up cutting two small blocks of styrofoam and wedging them between the hood and the cowling. This fixed the issue. After one hot SC summer the cowling accommodated to the new shape. I removed the blocks and it’s worked great for a couple years now.
