That IS weird.

I used the pigtail from Becker Autosound.




Into the stock phone plug.




I mounted a dual USB plug in the center cubby. One switched and one unswitched and they both work fine.

Upon further inspection - my E8 fuse had the tiniest of hairline breaks in it. So for those in the future - E8 is the switched wire.

Revival from the dead. Is this 4pin car kit plug a MOLEX-type connector?

Unfortunately not, and it appears Becker (the one in NJ) stopped selling them. I resorted to coming up with my own using a 3D printer.
