Default Litronic Headlight issue

Ok, I did some research on here and I've got a head light issue. 3 of the 4 fogs work but the headlights won't come on. The highbeams work, but only if I press the lever forward. Am I looking at bulb replacement or something more serious? It sucked driving in to work today only on the first position (switch) foglights. So, position one, both small round foglights work. position two, the second 'foglight' comes on on the driver's side, but the passenger side one doesn't. Press lever forward, and highbeams work. Pull lever back to 'keep them on' and they don't. Any help appreciated.

thanks,

Pete

The switch may be bad. Replacing it is easy.

Sounds like a switch replacement is needed. What do you mean by second fog light? Do you mean the marker lights inside the headlight housing with the main headlight? If so, those are really more for show than to put light down on the road.

Ok, when we say headlight switch, do we mean the metal and red cylindrical object, or the round black piece with the green curcuit board behind it that has the "light position symbols" on it??

thanks,

pete

It sounds like we are talking about two different switches here. One the Headlight switch, the other the Ignition switch. When the ign switch starts to go bad strange seemingly unrelated things start to happen. Key is hard to get out of the ign. Car will not turn off\start. AC stops working etc... When the light switch starts to go bad it is usually isolated to the lights. Both switches have some history of wearing out.
