Default Heads up on Wheel Availability (Fuchs)

Just a quick heads up that Fuchs Racing in the USA is currently in preproduction on the classic Fuchs drop forged, single piece, windmill wheels with a variety of diameters, widths, offsets, and center colors. Expect to see something definitive on their website soon. FuchsRacing.com

They will be making them the old fashioned way--drop forged (not friction welded) from billet aluminum, with CNC machining for the final look. They will be powdercoating the centers in a variety of colors.

They are similar in appearance to the new Sport Classic 911 wheels that Porsche recently introduced on their 911 Sport Classic limited edition cars, except the Fuchs ones will be forged, instead of pressure cast as the Sport Classics are. Here's a notional look of the Sport Classics on my car to give you a little idea of what is going to be available.

Looking forward to their new line of old design wheels. Had Fuchs on my 79' SC and loved the look.

Agree with Redridge, those Craigslist's offsets don't look offset
Anyone know the pric of the ones Dan is touting? I would like them with the silver finish and think they look great.

Yeah, I dig the pics of that car, there's an ad in Panorama iirc.

I've always loved the "Fuchs Felgen" (German for rims).

I've got an extra set of original 15" Cookie Cutters, wonder if they'd do a trade.

It is a great idea to bring back the old stuff with new technology, but I bet they will be like $1500 per rim ! I still prefer the look of the RG5 Champion

I'm guessing from discussions with them that they will be about $5000 a set.
