Anybody thinking of trading their 996 for a miata

It's a car. It's not a porsche. I imagine plenty of miata owners would love to have a porsche instead. Well maybe not if costs and reading ims threads grabs their fancy of thinking.

No, but I swapped my 996 for a Honda. Does that count?

If I didn't already own one? I sure might--driving my Miata is much more of a raw sports car experience, kind of like what the 993 and earlier guys are always talking about. I probably wouldn't own a 996 C4 if I didn't also have a "real" sports car in the garage.

Porsches are just cars, too. 996s and Miatas both have their pros and cons and since the Miata seems like the car on trial here, I'll go so far as to point out that there are some things that Porsche could learn from Mazda on sports car production.

Believe it or not, Honda recommends an oil that is not much thicker that that ^. They recommend 0-W20 non-synthetic for my Accord.

All this and I never got an answer to my question, so i guess no answer means no one thinks they should be compared either, right?

Compared it what way? More sold? Cost? Performance? Looks? Color? Options? etc. etc. I also think there were plenty of answers.

In any event, this thread is already a collosal mess of information, and then you have to go trolling for more BS! lol.

According to Excellence magazine, you should drive the living **** out of your 996 to keep it from exploding. Awesome!
