Anybody thinking of trading their 996 for a miata 
It's a car. It's not a porsche. I imagine plenty of miata owners would love to have a porsche instead. Well maybe not if costs and reading ims threads grabs their fancy of thinking.

If I didn't already own one? I sure might--driving my Miata is much more of a raw sports car experience, kind of like what the 993 and earlier guys are always talking about. I probably wouldn't own a 996 C4 if I didn't also have a "real" sports car in the garage.
Porsches are just cars, too. 996s and Miatas both have their pros and cons and since the Miata seems like the car on trial here, I'll go so far as to point out that there are some things that Porsche could learn from Mazda on sports car production.
