Its ok ED...I went watercooled to air cooled to water cooled....Im a confused traitor myself. Nothing like going to PCA DE events to get brushed off showing up in the only 944...then passing the pompus 911s in the corners.

Pssst...we're all "air cooled". I get such a kick when people drop the "real Porsches" and "air cooled" phrases.

As for the problem I hope he understands a possible water pump leak. The removal of the air box might help spots where it is leaking. There are lots of connectors so good luck chasing it down. Some auto parts store have a dye that shows up under black light that you could put a little in the coolant then turn a black light on and see the spot where it is leaking. The dye normally works with a/c, water and oil.

hahaha I was afraid of that. Its too bad he entered into the prehistoric era of cars and got cannibalized by the air cooled guys. Is there any meat left on the bones or is he just good for bone soup now?
