Before and After
I folded and tinted the windows, 5% rear and 20% sides, its night all the time now in there. I rode in 80 degree heat today with the AC on 75 degrees and felt comfortable, what a huge difference in not letting heat in the cabin.

Tinting was one of those things I was always so-so about. I mean I really wanted to tint the car but I never saw it as being worth the money. Still, that looks really good, I like it a lot.
Also, apparently in Ohio you can have 100% tint on back side windows and rear windows, effectively blacking them out. How that's okay I don't know.

I can see this making a big difference in a light color car. But with a dark color, the metal itself is going to heat up the car, regardless of the heat that comes in, or doesn't come in, through the windows. That being said, a few years ago, we had a rental Cadillac in Arizona, that was white with beige interior, and even after being parked in the 105 degree heat, the car was very quick to cool off.
The windows are already (lightly) tinted at the factory to block out the rays that will do short-term harm to the driver and interior. Unless you park the car outside to bake all day every day, film tint won't add much help over the long run.
I'm sure it's a few degrees cooler inside, but I couldn't trade the loss of visibility and the non-OEM "murdered" look that will bubble and peel down the road. I'd rather roll down a window for some fresh air, or crank the AC a bit higher. Beautiful car, but not my aesthetic.

When the sun is strong such as down here in Houston, the tint helps take the actual radiant feel of the sun out of the picture. My Targa and landrover are tinted. The landrover comes with standard factory 20% in the rear, I could feel the radiant heat of the sun even back in early March, that was enough for me to tint the whole thing Limo style. Its fantastic now, the sun can be as strong as it wants and you no longer feel the glare or heat on your face. The 2003 Targa with that huge sun attracting window for a roof is another deal. The top glass is factory tinted, but with a stong sun it still beats through and you can feel the heat on the back on your neck. I had the Targa tinted all around to make it comfortable for the next generation or porsche addicts that sit in the back.
Tinting doesn't help in any way if you leave the car out in the sun all day, it's all about the time you're driving it with the sun beating in through the glass.
Come live where the sun is so strong you can fry eggs inside your car and you'll soon tint your windows too.
