Barn, the only good thing about Ed having an an cooled engine is that when we run out of popcorn he can quickly do a batch of "air popped popcorn," which is much healthier that oil popped popcorn.

I never knew there was a hole in the rear like that requiring lube. I'm typically up front driving and having too much fun to pay attention to what's going on in the rear. Makes sense though, if it makes noise while going up and down; must need some lube. The hole looked very tiny, is it hard to get it in? Should you spray it directly into the little hole or just generously spray it into and around the hole?

(wow that all sounds very dirty after reading the "high-jacking" parts of this thread)

After that they are all a rollin round on the floor -- the question is -- who will get it together and get in first?

I believe you have to 'smear' it around the hole.
