Default Changing the spoiler retract

Can the spoiler retract be altered to come down at stop as it did in the 964?

I am not sure I understand the question.

On the 996, the spoiler should automatically deploy at 72 MPH and should automatically retract at about 35 MPH.

Ok -- I'm looking to have it retract when I come to a stop -- for "cool look" at the traffic lights -- no practical purpose at all.

My 964 did that and it was neat.

It is retracted in you avatar. If you want it extended you could use the switch on the fuse box and then pull the fuse to keep it deployed. Is that what you were asking?

I just thought of something.... maybe this is an Australian-American translation thing. Do you see it as extended or retracted in your avatar? Tim and I might be looking at it "upsidedown" to the way you see it from "down there"???

Frank, good point about "retract vs. extend."

Michael, you could do the "spoiler swithc" mod, which is buying a Turbo spoiler switch) (button) and install it in the dash "horseshoe." Then you could hit hte switec to make the spoiler extend (raise up).

He wants to know if you can put the retract point at 0mph. Cripes, four beers in me and I caught it....maybe it's the four beers.

I think he wants it to remain deployed (up) (extended) until he comes to a stop then retract.

wonder if a guy had one of those fancy computer things he could reprogram the speed it would deploy and retract...

Mine doesnt retract at 35mph... i know it goes up at 75 I though or close to it. During freeway driving, I'll go down to lets say 65, and I'll notice its back down ( through reflection of bigger cars)..?

This "may" be programmable by the dealer. Call them and ask.
